A BL comic about two high schoolers--a common theme--two of the only two gay people at their school. Carter, an especially horny kid, is desperate to get laid; but not so desperate for random hookups. So he relentlessly hounds the other gay kid, Adrian. It doesn't go well, at first. Updates on Fridays.
BFF is another all-time favorites. A story about two best friends dancing around their attraction to each other (much like another story below) while dealing with the usual high school bs. The art is brilliant; the story is great. I literally re-read the comic every week before a new update. Updates are on Wednesdays. (This author has another comic too, This is Not Fiction, see below).
Boned is a new one and seems to be coming along quite well. There seems to be something a little magical to it, but not necessarily a good kind. It is a BL comic and looks like it may be NSFW (other than the bare ass in the first page) to come. Updates on Sundays.
Destress || An amazingly dark story which has me utterly confused. It's a supernatural, afterlife setting but the author is clever to never really tell you where it is. Just hints that you have to put together. Updates on Sundays and Wednesdays.
First off, The Gardner is a French webcomic, but the actual pages (not the home page image) has translations up at release. Another NSFW BL comic, I'm afraid. This about a gardener and the young master of the house. Updates on Mondays.
Grave Impressions || Set in the 40s, this story is a gay-romp about a jack-of-all-trades detective. Updates on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Oh Human Star is focused on Alastair Sterling and his two lives. He wakes up with memories of dying to find he is in the future and been made into an android. He is sent to an old friend's house, Brendan Pinsky. The two worked together and were lovers, and while Brendan is concerned about who would boot Alastair's memories into an android (and for what possibly nefarious purpose), there is some reconciling to do. There are parts of this story that are NSFW; bits that are BL as well. They are all labeled. It updates on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Prince of Cats is a beautiful drawn comic in watercolour effect. It is a BL comic, but nothing graphic. A great story about a couple of high school friends who are dancing around their attraction for each other. Updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Author is also very active on tumblr.
Teahouse is one of my favorite webcomics and is definitely NSFW. It has BL main pairings though there are very few mentions of het relationships. It has some of the most amazing art you'll see on the "amateur" end (though I would hardly consider them that). Updates are every Wednesdays, though since both creators are often busy with RL, sometimes there can be long breaks.
The Less than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal || WHY HAVE YOU NOT ALL READ THIS STORY?! Another one that I constantly reread. It is BL and has some lovely NSFW scenes. The art is amazing; the story is fantastic. Both TJ and Amal are on the run--TJ from his past, and Amal from his parents. They head out, purely by fate, on a road trip that proves to be...interesting for all. I just love this story! Updates on Mondays.
The banner link is to the Manga Magazine posting, which is kept up-to-date for subscribers. You can also follow TINF on its website, though it isn't posted upon as regularly (to support getting a subscription at MM). This is by the same author of Best Friends Forever (seen above). It's a story about a star-struck boy (Julian), his best friend Isiah, and not-so-but-really-is-friend Landon. A comical story with BL undertones; it even has a crossover from BFF. Updates on Mondays.
Young Protectors is BL superhero comic by the creators of Artifice (see below). It's a great story featuring a young superhero and an older, gentlemen villain. It updates regularly ever Saturdays and then donations can be given for bonus updates on Wednesdays (they aren't guaranteed, but are often).
xkcd || If you're one of the few that hasn't heard of this great comic--and no worries if you haven't--definitely check it out; after all, how can you not look into something that describes itself as "a webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language." Updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Irregular Updaters
5th and Main is a rather fucked up story about youth life on the streets. It has not updated since December 2012, which makes me a very sad panda (and I don't even like pandas!).
14 Nights is a really interesting take on BL relationships. It is sort of NSFW but nothing really explicit. The art is very stylized, and I admit it threw me off at first; however, the story is compelling enough to continue on and you eventually begin to see how the style fits the characters and plot very well.
Chaotic Nation || This is a supposed BL story, but we haven't seen any of it yet. It focuses on two humans, one of which is a novice swordsman who has pledged to protect the other man, a human who can wield magic. Magic, in this world, can only be used by another species of beings--one which kills humans. They join with a group of independent soldiers who are out to protect the civilians that the government will do nothing to help. Updates can be regular but there isn't a specific date that are posted.
Devoto has wonderful art in this creepy, NSFW, BL comic. It's main character is a demon and is summoned by a human. It's not necessarily a nefarious summoning though, and the story is both original and sad. Love it so far. This is another that updates fairly regularly but without a specific date. The author is very active on tumblr, however.
Epic Loads || A classic NSFW throw dick in your face kind of gay story. Not sure of the plot, it's still new, but it's funny enough that I'll continue reading.
Goodbye Chains || An absolutely fantastic story with beautiful artwork. Set in the old west, it's about two criminals, one who is just after money and the other who wants to spread "the word" (of communism) to the common people. Packed with lots of action of amazingness! Definitely in my top five favorites!
La Macchina Bellica || A great fantasy webcomic with yaoi and yuri themes--though it's hardly the forefront of this story. It's set in a world where two groups of people are at war; this great clash of machinery versus magic. Be wary, however, updates are extremely slow so once you've caught up, you might get a little frustrated.
Minor Acts of Heroism || Another great superhero story, this one about a group of superhero guardians and superhero kids (the kids being the focus, obviously). There is Everywhere Kid (a teleporter), Nilus (the "King" of Atlantis), and Sergio (who just came into his powers thanks to some really weird relic). Good for all ages.
Oscura || This story is set in a world of magic and power-lust. It's a cruel, yet beautiful world. To be safe, I would venture it NSFW and be prepared for lots of fuckery--literally and figuratively. The updates are so slow their nill at the moment, so another to be prepared to be frustrated with.
Saint for Rent is a fantasy comic based in a Time-Travelers' Inn. An interesting take on a webcomic as well; if you can't tell by the banner itself, the comic uses gifs to give slight animation to panels/pages. Truly an amazing read. Check out the tumblr to keep up with the best update schedule.
Ship Jumper doesn't necessarily have the best artwork; better I can do though. It's a story of two competing navies who have shipwrecked after a battle with only a few survivors. One of them happens to be a very horny sailor from one navy who is attracted to the captain from the other. This is BL and NSFW.
Starfighter is most definitely NSFW and definitely BL. One of my favorite stories, the art style, which is already very unique and pretty, just keeps getting better and better. Following on facebook and tumblr is the best way to keep updated on new pages, though they do come with some regularity.
Transfusions || An interesting take on vampire myth with a lot of basis on the original mythology (before all the Twilight crap came in and ruined it). Focuses on a shy, college guy who, after being injured while taking photographs with friends, is "attacked" by a vampire. Luckily, said vampire doesn't kill him and instead makes him his living blood-meal; a deal made from an ultimatum.
Completed
Artifice is a completed BL, sci-fi comic about a tragic love story between an android and a human. The art is nice and the storytelling even nicer. Definitely recommend. The new project of these guys is Young Protectors, found above.
